Choosing a Server: PvE vs PvP

Your server choice shapes your whole season, so it’s worth two minutes of thought before you click.

PvE servers

On PvE servers other players can’t attack you; the threat is the world itself. You still group up for bosses, Silos, and server-wide events. If you’re new, this is the right call: you learn the game’s systems without also learning to survive other humans.

PvP servers

PvP servers layer player conflict on top of survival: contested zones, raids on territory in specific windows, and factions fighting over objectives. The loot and tension are higher, and so is the stress. Great second season, rough first one.

Difficulty tiers

Most scenarios come in Novice, Normal, and Hard flavors. Novice is slower-paced and forgiving, built for first-timers. Hard pays better but assumes you know your build and the bosses.

Practical advice

First season: PvE, Novice or Normal. Learn Memetics, Deviants, and bossing. Once the systems feel automatic, roll a PvP or Hard scenario with your eyes open. And check a server’s region and population before settling, your ping and your neighbors matter.
