Welcome Back is the first main story quest in Manibus. It doubles as the game’s onboarding: it walks you through the fundamentals as the story reintroduces you to the world of Nalcott as a Meta-Human.
What it teaches
Along this opening beat you’ll cover the core loop the rest of the game builds on:
- Basic gathering and crafting your first tools.
- Your first steps with combat and Stardust (the game’s supernatural resource).
- Setting up near the starting area (around Throughville, roughly level 2).
How to play it
Just follow the main quest marker. Don’t rush ahead: Welcome Back hands you the blueprints and understanding you need for everything after. Pick up every basic resource you pass, since you’ll burn through wood, stone, and scrap immediately.
What it unlocks
Completing Welcome Back opens up early Dayton Wetlands content, including side quests like Legacy Hunt, and sets you on the path toward your first major boss arc, Murmurs in the Forest.
Tip
Don’t out-run your level here. Clear a bit of the surrounding map (chests, easy points of interest) before pushing the next main quest, so you step into the Treant arc comfortably levelled.
